Boat Date

This past Friday JL and I went on a date .... to The Boat Show. This is something we do every year! He likes to see all the new gismo's that are out for the new year and drool over the boats. I like to have a night out without the kids. It's a beautiful relationship we have. (And actually, I really do like looking at the shiny new boats too!)

We went back and forth between the malibu (shown here) and the Tige (shown below) for the entire time we were there. Hey, we know what we like. :)

Here I am sitting in the Malibu. It had a gorgeous interior!

And here it is! The boat that JL dreams about!

I admit, it was by far the best looking boat at the show!

JL sitting inside the Tige. We weren't that crazy about the color scheme, but the boat was awesome!

Afterwards, we went to a delicious interior Mexican restaurant. It was SO good! Best food we'd both had in a long time. JL had something I can't pronounce. It was basically pork with plantains and red corn tortilla's.

I also had something that was fabulous but hard to pronounce. It was basically pork taco's with rice and beans.

One of the best dates recently! Boats and great food! Who needs more?

Big Wy Turns 2!

Holy Cow! My baby is two! How did this happen? I know it's totally cliche, but time really does go by way too stinkin' fast! My kids are getting so big. It's scary!

Wyatt seems like a 4 year old to me. He can do so many more things at his age than his siblings could. I guess being the 3rd has major advantages!

We had a nice little family party for him on his big day. I made some of his favorite foods (ham sandwiches, pasta salad, jello) for dinner and topped it off with cream filled cupcakes! Yum!

On the morning of his big day

The cupcake project.

They are SO good!

All the kids jumped for quite some time after James got home from school. Wyatt LOVES to jump, so everyone was willing to make his day special.

Present time!

Wyatt got a green light saber. Now he can sword fight with Darth James.

Basketball jam right before bed.

The next morning, he woke up ready to go!

And cute as ever!

A few words he says often:
Ba bel - Isabel
Dames - James
Dink - Drink
Bookkkk - book (he loves to draw out the K!)
Ye Haw - Horse
Memow - Cat
Meat - meat!

Some fun things about Wyatt at 2:
He loves to sing! He also loves to dance and groove to songs with Izzy and Mamma.
He continues to be mellow and happy all the time.
He loves Lightning McQueen and usually goes around the house saying "Queen!"
He also loves strawberry milk and bananas. But his favorite thing in the world is meat! He'll actually ask for MEAT!
He's my best eater, by far!
He loves to jump on the trampoline. He constantly will drag James by the arm saying "Dames - swing?"
He loves animals. Mostly the kittens, but he also loves June Bug and Pancho.
He can sing the ABC song. It's not really clear - but the tune is definitely there.
He loves tractors and football!
He can get water for himself out of the fridge dispenser. He can also empty the dishwasher and set the table.
He is accident prone! This kid will climb and fall off of anything.
He absolutely loves his big brother. They sword fight and wrestle and play silly games at night when they are suppose to be sleeping!
He is pure delight! We all love him to pieces!

Izzy visits the Dentist

This was basically Isabel's first dental exam. She had one 6 months ago, but it was just a brief cleaning to kinda ease her into the idea of dentist and offices and stuff.

But this time around, she got the whole treatment - and she was SO BRAVE! A total champ! She even got x-rays with NO problem at all. I was super duper proud of her!

What's even better is she got a glowing report! She's been brushing and doing everything she was suppose to. The hygienist was just going on and on about how white Isabel's teeth were! It was very cool!

More Cuteness

Izzy continues to love the swings.

Wyatt does too.

But mostly what Wyatt loves is the slides!

He also likes to climb and jump on this wobble bridge.

Who needs toys when you can just smoosh yourself into a box!

It took some doing, but even James could get himself in there!

Cheese!

So sweet.

Just Cute

Seriously. Cutest. Kids. Ever.

This is how Isabel makes her bed! She loves to arrange all her animals and dollies. She just got a new room makeover. Check it out here.

Family movie night. Cars 2.

This is how Izzy watches her movie.

This is Wyatt yesterday. Sundays are hard because church is right through his nap time. This is just before dinner. He was totally crashed!

Slub - rubbing one's nose across another's cheek in a sign of affection.

Example: "Mom, can I have a slub before bed?"

She made this up entirely on her own. One night - she just asked me for a slub. I was like ??? So she explained what it was and then showed me how to do it.

HILariOUS!

Mallows and a Feather Boa

Isabel. Glitzed up and ready to go out.

James. Camping on his floor.

Wyatt. Doing what brother is doing.

Wyatt and Isabel love Marshmallows! They are the preferred treat around here! Wyatt will open the pantry, point up and say (clear as day) "Mallow!" How can I resist that?

Don't worry - they also eat carrot sticks!

Isabel dressed in her usual garb.

She cracks me up.

This is Wyatt from earlier this morning. He LOVES to jump on the trampoline. He calls it "swing" and can be found there 80% of the time if we are all outside. This morning, he wandered over there while I was feeding animals.

My daughter says the darndest stuff!

Furfurever : a description of time.

Example: "Mom, I've been waiting for you furfurever!"

Porkchop : a term of endearment. Also, a derogatory term.

Example: "Whats up, Daddyporkchop?"
"Wyatt! Don't be a porkchop!"

The other night, we're sitting at dinner. Dad breaks into a chorus of The Idaho Song. Isabel looks over at him, rolls her eyes and says: "Uuuhhhh, not again!"

Just now, Isabel is on the floor playing with James' Batman computer. She's trying to find the letter "J" and having a heck of a time. Batman keeps saying "That's not it - try again!" To which Isabel (after about 3 minutes of trying) says back: "C'mon Batman!!"

New Year

Lastly, here's just a few more pictures of the kids from the holiday break. Happy New Year!

Pearl Snaps. Ready to ring in the new year!
