Quatro Update

Well - there he/she is!  This is one of my 36 week ultrasound pictures.  Isn't it amazing?  You know what is even more amazing?  That I haven't had this baby yet!  This week marks 38 weeks.  Am I doomed to carry this baby to term?  That has never happened!  Either way - at this point, I'm convinced this one will be the biggest one I've had.  He/She has already been lovingly nicknamed "The Whopper!"

As far as how do I feel?  Well - I feel uncomfortable.  And huge.  And so ready to see this baby already.  Last night was super exciting.  I had major contractions for about 30 minutes before I finally made JL and Grammy get out a notepad and start timing them.  Course, all that did was slow them down until they finally stopped.  Sigh.  But it was probably my most promising day so far.  And I've been contracting each day since Saturday (coincidentally when all the activities started - see below!)  So I'm really hopeful that the next few days will be it!  I'm excited to meet this new little one.  And, as you know, my babies are fond of showing up on Wednesdays! ;-)

Could We be Getting Close?

Well.  Quatro has not shown up yet, but we've got to be getting close now.  How do I know?  Because Grammy arrived in town last week!  With her here - I've got a green light to go!  Now if only Quatro would cooperate!

Meanwhile, she and JL have had a personal mission to help me along.  Take a look at what all we've done since she arrived just 4 days ago:

Naturally, we had to start the trip off with dinner at Rudy's!

Izzy Bean!

There I am.  In all my pregnant glory.  Seriously - that belly is obscene!

Friday just happened to be "bring your Grandparents to school" day.  What are the odds?  So Grammy got to have lunch with James.  We brought him - what else - but a SubWay sandwich!

We got to stick around for recess.  James is the one in the red t-shirt!  ;-)

That night we hit a little Friday Night Lights!
Nothing says "please come out Quatro" like a little Football!!

Saturday morning was the start of our cooler weather.  What better way to welcome to cool air  than with a little light saber war?

JL and big Wy chillin' with the Panch Man.

Saturday night JL and I had what will probably be our last date night before Quatro comes.  We hit up my favorite Italian restaurant.

School Time Again? Already!?

James started school again at the end of last month.  Hard to believe the summer has gone by so fast!  And especially hard to believe that he's in 1st grade!

The week before school started.  James and I took a day to do a little school shopping.  It was great!  I was able to spend some 1 on 1 time with him and we both had a great time!  This is him at Chili's after our shopping was done.  He is enjoying a strawberry lemonade.  He probably put away about 3 of those!

He also finished off his entire pizza and all those fries!  Apparently shopping takes it outta the boy!

A few days before the first day.  He and Isabel got new haircuts!

Back to school night.  This is in the new library.  We had just met his teacher and he was flying high that she was so fabulous (and so was I!)

Right after back to school night.  We treated everyone to SubWay sandwiches.  James LOVES these!

Infact, he ordered a foot long - swearing that he wouldn't waste a bit of it.

And you know what's amazing - he ate the WHOLE THING!!!

1st Day of School!  He picked out his clothes the night before and was so excited he had the darndest time getting to sleep!

He's riding the bus this year.  With Quatro coming, I thought that would be the best and easiest on the lot of us.  And you know - he LOVES it!  It's one of his favorite parts of the day!  This is him at the end of the day after being dropped off.

Day 2.  Again - he chose his clothes.  I think he had a personal goal to wear a different Star Wars shirt each day until they were all gone.  And you know - that's exactly what he did!  He made it to Friday before he had to branch out themes!  ;-)

Waiting for the bus.

And there he goes!

Meanwhile, these two monkeys are keeping me plenty occupied.  They are so adorable and they play together SO well!
