A Tale of Two Houses

Dear City House,

We loved you. We really did. It's just that you were suddenly too much in the city for us. You had road noise, and vandals, and crazy neighbors and unruly HOA restrictions. But as a house, you were fabulous. Please don't take it personally. We enjoyed your spacious rooms, fabulous decks and fancy kitchen. You also introduced us to a crop of great new friends! But, most of all, we loved being a family of 3 that grew to a family of 5 while we were living in you. We have a lot of fond memories we'll be sure to take with us.

But now it is time to open a new chapter in life. One that includes more room for the kids to run. More space to garden and have animals. A life without HOA restrictions and ridiculous property taxes! A place to house our family and make a bunch of new memories. We can't wait, so please put on a brave face and be happy for us.

In the meantime, we've arranged for a nice new family to occupy you so you wont' be so lonely without us. And no matter what, you'll always be the house that Lisa built.

Love,
Your Family

Now on to Country House, Chapter 1.
