There is NO way this sweet boy can be 3! He is my baby! Wyatt is such a sweet, sweet boy. Never was there a boy more loving and caring as Big Wy. He is good right down to his toes.
He loves to snuggle. I have been afraid this trait will leave him someday and he will have had enough love from Mom and Dad, but so far he hasn't budged in this regard. I hope he never does!
One of his favorite things is to be outside. He often will drag his cars outside to race them on the driveway or bury them in the dirt. And when he tires of that, he takes off his shoes and socks and tries to bury himself in the dirt! He also can't resist a puddle or water of any kind. Often I'll catch him outside floating sticks or loading tractors of dirt into the animals' water dishes! He is just all boy!
Any ball will hold his attention! He enjoys playing basketball with Dad and baseball with James. He also always requests a Dad wrestle! One of his (ok, THE) most favorite person on this planet is Dad! Through and through he is Daddy's boy. He always asks JL if they can "ride in the big truck to kick up mud!" Any errand Dad runs, or any place Dad goes - Big Wy is right there with him. No questions asked - he just wants to go where Dad goes no matter where that happens to be.
He is talking more and more lately. Most of it strangers can understand. But there is still some of it that I have to translate. And some of it even still that I don't even understand. But he always has a way of communicating with us what he's trying to say. Usually it is "Pop, mom?" Or "Can I have a cookie?" He has a giant sweet tooth! ;-)
His birthday fell on a Saturday this year. The exact same Saturday his Dad and I had tickets to the boat show. So we decided to make a weekend out of it and start celebrating on Friday.
We took him bowling Friday night - and he loved it!! He did an impression of a bowling ball before we left the house... he'd get down on the floor and curl up in a ball. Then he'd roll around and say "Bowling ball - bowling ball!" It was really cute.
Saturday we had to start the day - first thing! - with presents. Wyatt had been so so excited all week to open the Cars wrapping paper!

He picked these out himself about 2 days before his birthday. He insisted he had to have them for his special day but that he'd forget and be surprised to open them. HA! |

After presents, me and Dad and Codeman slipped away for a little boat shopping. |

Sunday we had our family party. We had cake and sang and played with presents. |

We also played outside in the warm weather |
PS - if you happened to notice that Wyatt was in the same shirt all 3 days, you get a prize! He loves Cars so much that he insisted he wear the same shirt each day of his party celebration!

Can't believe Wyatt is 3 already. He's so cute with a personality to match. You did a great job with the Cars Cake -- looks like your 3-day birthday party was a huge success.
