But lately, the van has taken on a new role. 2nd home. We're trying to sell our current home, and when we get the boot for a showing, we rely heavily on the van. It takes us to the park to kill a couple hours, it faithfully drives us around while we let the babies sleep, but most recently it has turned into an eat-in diner. We drive up, get our food and eat as a family in the back of the van.
I realized the other day when we were having a van picnic (as I have lovingly named them) that some day I will look back on that moment and smile as I remember me and my tiny family buckled up in our vehicle while we eat and talk about things that are on our minds.
James likes to imagine himself as a tiger devouring his french fries. Isabel likes to think she's a princess having tea with the Queen. Wyatt just looks cute and begs for fries from his siblings. And yes, even Pancho is there with us. He generally sleeps on the floor and focuses on not puking in my precious van.
It may have started out as an inconvenience to up and leave our house, but we've found fun and adventure in the alternatives.

i like the term "van picinic"!! and they will have been fun and even more worth it when you are living on the ranch! Poncho is such a good dog!
Van Picnics sound great--you could do commercials!!!! Pictures of the kids are cute, cute and we love your commentary.
Didn't you just move into your house not too long ago? Where are you going to move? Good luck! I can't believe how big your kids are, time goes by way too fast.
