James: "I don't think you are that smart."
Slight Pause
Me: "Oh really? Who do you think has taught you everything you know to make you so smart?"
James: "Daddy."
Next time I'll lead with "Yes, but not as smart as Mamma." Guess that's gratitude for ya. Ha!

That sooo sounds like my brother at work! I think you are smarter than them all Lis! though there is that one moment of lapsed judgement when you married JL. but the kids are so darn cute even that has worked out!
Pretty typical of little children 'cuz Dads usually teach the "fun" stuff (like fishing) and Moms teach EVERYTHING ELSE!!!!

I've been there too, sometimes I laughed and then other times I cried.
Ken would walwyas tell me you know when a mom is doing her job really well then her kids don't notice her.
