Can it be?

I'd like to announce that Isabel is potty trained! Just like that! She just decided yesterday morning that she doesn't want to wear diapers anymore. They apparently cramp her style. She dug out her princess panties and hasn't looked back since.

We tried a couple weeks ago to make this announcement, but she just wasn't quite there. I got frustrated after many accidents and decided to call it quits for a few months. I bought her some more diapers this past Monday and prayed it would be my last batch. Turns out, I bought her a size too small in diapers. She wore them Monday and Tuesday before she finally decided she didn't like them anymore, or maybe they were just too small and uncomfortable. Either way, she made the announcement yesterday morning that she wanted her big girl panties. I agreed, but told her she'd have to use the potty and she was just like "ok mom."

I had serious doubts, but she hasn't had an accident in 2 days! Can I just say HOORAY! It's a huge deal to not have to change her anymore. I thought having one of my 3 potty trained was a big deal. Turns out, having 2 of them is a MAJOR deal. Especially with Izzy. She was a stinker!

The beautiful thing about Isabel and this adventure - she doesn't require an audience! She already goes it alone. With James, I had to sit and wait and wait and wait. But Isabel is in and out before I know it half the time. So grown up!

From haircuts and manicures to using the potty. Next comes dating and driving. I can't handle this growing up business!
